Those of you who listen to the film review podcast I host with Ashley, or who follow me on Letterboxd, will notice that some of these choices do not jibe with my Best of 2021 selections. That is, indeed, a first. What is also a first is that my Best Picture selection doesn't win in any other category. That isn't to cast shade on I'm Your Man at all. If anything, it underscores how good of a year for movies 2021 was. There was a lot of love to go around.
If you haven't yet watched any or all of this year's winners (or nominees), I cannot recommend them enough.
